Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Ministry of Women Development and Family Affairs (MOWDAFA), Puntland, collects through mowdafa.pl.so, and how it is used and protected.

Information we collect

• Contact form. When you submit the Contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can respond to your inquiry.
• Event registration. If you register for a ministry event, we collect the details needed to process your registration and issue an invitation.
• Cookies and local storage. We store a small amount of technical data in your browser — your language (English/Somali) and light/dark theme preference, and a session token if you sign in to the admin dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
• Anonymous page views. We record which pages are visited and when, to understand what content is useful. This does not include your IP address, browser identity, or any cookie — it cannot be used to identify you or track you across visits.

How we use this information

We use the information above only to respond to inquiries, process event registrations, and operate the website. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Embedded content

The homepage embeds our official Facebook Page timeline directly from Facebook. When that content loads, Facebook may set its own cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy, independent of this ministry.

Data retention and access

Contact messages and event registrations are stored securely and are accessible only to authorized ministry staff. If you would like your information corrected or removed, contact us using the details on the Contact page.
